Which is a crocodile and which is an alligator? Can't tell? Here is the answer: Crocodiles are greenish-brownish. Alligators are blueish-greenish. Crocodiles have pointy V shaped snouts. Alligators have round U shaped snouts. When a crocodile has his mouth closed you can see his bottom teeth. But when an alligator has his mouth closed, you can't see his bottom teeth.
Now you can tell the difference. But why are they different species? Don't worry I know. Gators have bigger U shaped snouts because they hunt mammals that come to get a drink. So they need a bigger snout. Crocs have V shaped snouts so they can turn their heads faster to catch fish. Gators sometimes go on land so they have their legs under them. Croc legs stick out to the side. When you have your legs under you.(like you and me) It makes you good on land. Crocs live in bodies of water near the ocean. I heard that sometimes crocs meet with a tiger shark. So crocs are tougher then gators because they live in a tougher environment.
Now you know how and why they are different. Stay tuned to for Crocodiles and Alligators are nice.
